Information and Communications Technology Officer (Internal Applicants Only- National contract) 

Job description

  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  • Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  • Ensure the proper filing of documents related to ICT.
  • Responsible to analyse the needs and to develop clear specific ICT requirements and plan.
  • Responsible for ICT management, control systems and implementation of ICT Handbook, policies, guidance and procedures and data protection requirements.
  • Responsible for timely and high quality delivery of ICT hardware, software and services to the country programme.
  • Contribute to innovation and advancement of ICT globally in NRC through pilots at CO level.
  • Contribute to programme quality and effectiveness by supporting relevant ICT tools.
  • Assess user capacity and suggest/support ICT-related training for staff.
  • Ensure network functionality through regular check-ups and interaction with ISP and other relevant partners/providers (including ICT at HO).
  • Work with Logistic Manager to ensure adequate planning procurement and budgeting for necessary ICT equipment, supplies and systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant ICT work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing or Higher Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability of keeping up to date with modern ICT trends
  • Professionalism and availability

  • Personal commitment, flexibility and efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and to plan
  • Work under pressure of tight and conflicting deadlines and handle concurrent activities
